Snowy Switzerland

A few years ago, I had a winter break in this beautiful snowy wonderland called Switzerland. I was fascinated by the breathtaking landscapes and the thought of going to bed and waking up the following morning presented with white sheets of snow, spreading as far as the eye could see.

I have always been amazed by this country works – unlike countries (like Portugal) for which it is not usual to having snow, the Swiss seem to be unaffected even by heavy snowfall. Their everyday routines seem to continue as if it were a normal day (although from their perspective, a bit of snow might not be the least bit interesting). I definitely want to go back to Switzerland in a near future, as I only was able to stay there for a couple of days. But, in the meantime, I wanted to share some pictures I took while visiting the little village of Amount, the medieval village Estavayer-le-Lac and Lake Neuchâtel, and  Moléson-sur-Gruyères.

Beautiful photographs. We spent the summer in Switzerland and while it didn’t snow it did rain a lot and what you said stays the same that the Swiss carry on with their work irrespective of what the weather is like. Cheers
