Mercado de San Miguel, Madrid

When we went to Madrid we visited the beautiful Mercado de San Miguel. It’s a historical and monumental market boasting a gorgeous glass and iron architecture, located in the heart of Madrid. It originally opened in 1916, was renovated and reopened in 2009, and is still a reference point for tourists and locals, where you may find everything from and in between the traditional Spanish tapas, gourmet food and drinks that you can taste and enjoy on the spot. It’s truly worth a visit, but be prepared to face the crowds and steep prices.
